Well, that truly sucks. I can't believe the UFC let go one of their best fighters like that, a guy who was still in the top 5 at two weight classes, a legend in MMA who was loved by the fans. I'm really disappointed.

Even a unreasonable amout should be payed for the #3 MW in the UFC. He's more popular and with another good showing he'd have been a VERY good draw I think. This short term thinking that the UFC has is going to bite them in the ass.

exactly. Have yet to see a boring fight with Dan in it in the ufc yet

the UFc is going to have to stomach Strikeforce announcing a signing of a 2 division Pride champ on a 3 fight UFC winning streak against good opponents at a live CBS broadcast with millions of viewers. This is something that can definitely help turn the tide for Strikeforce.

this I want to see. The UFC needs competition. If not then shit like this will continue to happen. Where as Strikeforce has to come out strong to make an impact on casual fans to show them that the UFC isn't the only organization out then and that they aren't the best at times either

with dana hesitating on a network deal, it's quite possible that strikeforce can make some real ground up this weekend.
